Silver Linings

Who gets to determine when the old ends, and the new begins? It’s not a day on a calendar, not a birthday, not a new year. It’s an event. Big or small. Something that changes us. Ideally, it gives us hope. There’s an end to every storm. Once all the trees have been uprooted. Once all the houses have been ripped apart. The wind will hush. The clouds will part. The rain will stop. The sky will clear in an instant and only then, in those quiet moments after the storm, do we learn who was strong enough to survive it.

So like every other being I’m a believer of something too. Something that many depict as a myth but something that gives me hope. Keeps me motivated and helps me pass by the storms well. That something to me is ‘The silver lining‘. Although it’s easier said that done but opinions differ and in my opinion every dark cloud does have a silver lining. It was back in teens when i realized the relevance and existence of it. I remember my father telling me day and night that everything that goes around is a phase. Happy or sad. It’ll pass. It shall. Surprisingly, back then I’d just get emotional and disappointed when he’d repeatedly say this but now I know the significance of it or rather the reality of life.

Just when we think we’ve figured things out, the universe throws us a curve-ball. So we have to improvise. We find happiness in unexpected places. We find our way back to the things that matter the most. The universe is funny that way. Sometimes it just has a way of making sure we wind up exactly where we belong. So believing isn’t that deceiving after all. To me, silver linings exist, to me they make sense and to me they have happened. Be it any sorrow, wound, tragedy or trauma; I’ve gotten a fair compensation for everything as such. Maybe it’s the faith that i have or maybe I’m just Blessed!
They say the bigger your investment, the bigger your return. But you have to be willing to take a chance. You have to understand, you might lose it all. But if you take that chance, if you invest wisely, the payoff just might surprise you. And the key to achieve that is to BELIEVE! Believe in yourself, your story and if you ask me then, Believe in SILVER LININGS!
